Interactive website to motivate and inspire new futures

Effective problem solving is a critical skill, and young people need an opportunity to develop and hone it in their early lives. To support these goals, Future Problem Solving New Zealand asked CWA New Media to assist in creating a dynamic and engaging environment to support their programme.

The need

Future Problem Solving New Zealand determined that they needed to upgrade their website to better reflect who they are and what they are about. They asked CWA New Media to create a look and feel – providing a brand that could be used in print as well as on the web.

They also wanted to create a changing and interactive environment where students, coaches and assessors could share ideas, find information and more importantly, become involved in future problem solving.

The innovation

Funding was provided by the Ministry of Education, through its Talent Development Initiative. We designed and developed the new website adding features such as online polls, feedback forms and forums.

The environment was built using templates which enable the client to update areas of the site themselves without the need for html authoring skills. The use of templates also ensures consistent and standards-based presentation of the site’s content. CWA New Media provided the Future Problem Solving team with training and documentation to support this feature.

The site is attracting growing numbers of users.
