The Foresight Project
In early 1998 the Minister of Research, Science and Technology initiated the Foresight Project, asking groups with common interests to develop future visions for their sectors and to identify the new knowledge, skills and technology which will be needed to reach these visions.
As part of this process CWA New Media developed an integrated media framework to support a national conference for the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology. This included the design and management of a dedicated intranet, development of an associated website, the production of video material and the delivery of live webcasts.
This work was recognised as the Best Example of Telecommunications Enabling the Knowledge Economy by the Telecommunication Users Association of New Zealand (TUANZ Awards 1998).
